1. Introduction
My Psych Ltd has a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery, servitude, human trafficking and forced labour.
We are committed to acting ethically, with integrity and transparency in all our business dealings, and to implementing effective systems and controls to ensure that modern slavery is not taking place anywhere within our own business or in any of our supply chains.
This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes My Psych Ltd’s modern slavery statement for the financial year ending 2025/26.
2. Who Can Complain
My Psych Ltd is a UK-registered, CQC-regulated independent healthcare provider specialising in the assessment and treatment of ADHD and Autism for children, young people and adults.
Our clinicians and administrative staff are all based in the UK.
Our registered office is 4 Kestrel Court, Burnley, Lancashire, BB11 5NA.
3. How to Raise a Complaint
Our supply chain primarily comprises reputable UK-based providers of:
- Clinical and psychological associates who are self-employed professionals.
- Digital clinical systems and secure cloud software
- IT infrastructure and telecoms support.
- Professional services including accountancy, legal, HR and marketing.
We do not operate in, or procure goods or services from, sectors or geographies traditionally considered high-risk for modern slavery.
4. Timeframes
We maintain the following policies which support our commitment to ethical and lawful practice:
- Recruitment & Right-to-Work Policy – all employees and associates undergo identity and right-to-work checks.
- Safeguarding Policy – ensures protection of vulnerable individuals.
- Whistle blowing Policy – enables staff or contractors to raise concerns confidentially.
- Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Policy.
- Supplier Procurement Policy – includes ethical standards and contractual clauses prohibiting slavery or human trafficking.
- Information Governance and Data Protection Policies – ensure lawful, transparent processing of all personal data.
5. How We Handle Complaints
To identify and mitigate modern-slavery risks we:
- Conduct right-to-work and DBS checks for all staff and clinical associates.
- Require professional registration (GMC, HCPC, NMC, BACP) before engagement.
- Use UK-based digital suppliers with clear data-protection and ethical-labour statements.
- Include modern-slavery and ethical-conduct clauses in supplier contracts.
- Keep an internal Supplier Risk Register reviewed annually by management.
Overall, our business model and supplier geography place us in a low-risk category, but we remain vigilant.
6. Escalation
All staff and associates receive mandatory induction covering:
- Safeguarding and whistleblowing;
- Equality and ethical business conduct;
- Recognize and reporting indicators of modern slavery.
Refresher training is provided annually and recorded within staff compliance files.
7. Anonymous Complaints
We maintain open channels for concerns:
- Staff may raise issues directly with line management, the DPO, or via the whistleblowing route.
- Any allegation of modern slavery is escalated immediately to the SIRO and investigated.
- Confirmed concerns would be reported to law-enforcement and regulatory bodies.
Performance and supplier compliance are reviewed as part of our annual Information Governance and Clinical Governance reviews.
8. Recording and Monitoring
During 2025/26 we will:
- Strengthen supplier due-diligence templates to include explicit modern-slavery declarations.
- Conduct spot-checks on key suppliers’ compliance statements.
- Continue staff refresher training and awareness campaigns.
- Publish this statement on our website and include it within the company’s Policy Pack.
